Career overview
Before joining NTU, Lorna worked as the Financial Training Manager at the University of Nottingham, running training courses for staff to develop their financial understanding. Prior to this she was a Management Accountant at the University of Nottingham, responsible for the finances of schools across the Medicine and Science Faculties. She has also worked as a tutor at Kaplan Financial for 10 years, teaching those studying for their professional accountancy exams across the ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA and AAT qualifications. She taught Financial Management, Management Accounting and Taxation subjects at all levels, from foundation up to strategic.
Lorna studied her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the early 2000’s.
