Role
Dr. Victor Udeozor, PhD, MSc, FHEA, PGCAP, is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Nottingham Business School (NBS). At NBS, Dr. Udeozor serves as the coordinator of the Entrepreneurship and innovation Subject Group playing a critical role in teaching and scholarship. He is currently the module leader for the Networks and International Strategy Alliances module that is part of the MSc Management (International Business) course, as well as Leading Change and Innovation in Higher Education module that is part of the MSc Higher Education Management and Leadership course.
His research interests includes Entrepreneurship Education, Entrepreneurial Finance, Family Businesses, International Entrepreneurship, International Business, and allied domains. In conjunction with his teaching and scholarship duties, Dr. Udeozor actively supervises students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels aligning with his areas of expertise.
Presently, Victor invites prospective PhD candidates who share mutual research interests to collaborate under his supervision.
Career overview
Victor began his career as the Manager of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Nigeria, where he oversaw production and supply chain-related activities. He subsequently relocated to the UK for Master's and Doctoral programs. He now provides GMP consultancy and business management support for the company.
Active in the academic community, Dr. Udeozor has presented papers at renowned conferences such as the Academy of Management (AOM), British Academy of Management (BAM), Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC), Africa Academy of Management (AFAM), and Management and Business Academy (MBA).
Further enhancing the scholarly interests, Dr. Udeozor has successfully secured multiple research funding avenues to facilitate his publication endeavors. Additionally, he serves as an Associate Editor for a Special Issue addressing Financial Exclusion, Alternative Entrepreneurial Finance Mechanisms, and Entrepreneurial Resilience, featured in the Taylor & Francis journal Cogent Business & Management.
Beyond the realm of academia, Dr. Udeozor ardently champions sustainable development goals. He is the founder of Liter of Light UK, an organization dedicated to fostering rural development initiatives by imparting relevant skills to local communities and deploying solar-powered lighting solutions to underserved populations in developing nations, in collaboration with domestic and international stakeholders. Notably, Liter of Light UK was conferred the Green Gown Awards 2018 (Highly Commended—Enterprise Category). Concurrently, Dr. Udeozor extends his consultancy acumen to burgeoning startup ventures, further enriching his multifaceted professional repertoire.
