Role

Miley Lewis is a quality management professional with expertise in governance and regulations, course design, school and programme reviews, and policy development. Miley is leading a team of Senior Quality and Standards Advisors who provide support and advice to academic and Senior Management colleagues to enhance the quality of the student experience. She serves as Executive Officer of a University level quality committee which oversees academic assurance and enhancement policies and strategies to ensure that the University continues to meet the requirements of external regulatory bodies.

Career overview

Miley has been a part of the Academic Quality Team in the Centre for Academic Development and Quality at NTU for several years now. She has enjoyed analysing and interpreting quality management frameworks and regulations to provide a more effective and solution-based advice and support to senior management and academic colleagues across the University. She also finds it rewarding to be able to work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to produce a high-quality course.

Prior to joining NTU and after completing an MBA in Corporate Social Responsibility, Miley managed a capacity building project in the charity sector, and coordinated a Climate Change funding initiative in a multinational development bank. Miley has had extensive experience in managing official development funds from international development agencies.

Research areas

Miley has contributed in the writing of a book on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Asia. Miley is interested and has been in active conversations with NTU and external colleagues around exploring meaningful approaches to embed sustainability in the curriculum.
