Role
Stuart is an Educational Developer within Education, Quality, and Partnerships (EQP). He works collaboratively with academic colleagues to explore and adopt innovative, inclusive and evidence-based learning and teaching practices, supporting excellent learning opportunities and outcomes for all students.
Stuart leads the Success for All Workstream, and is the Educational Development contact for the Mansfield Hub, Nottingham Law School and the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences.
Career overview
Stuart has worked in the Higher Education sector for over twenty years and has always had a passion for widening participation, which led him to his current role. Stuart's previous roles have ranged from working in Library services at Plymouth University, Student Support Services at NTU, School Administration management and central quality assurance prior to becoming an Educational Developer.
His main areas of interest are in curriculum design, Success For All and technical education, which is the focus of the Mansfield Hub. He enjoys collaborating with colleagues to support them in designing new courses or approaches to their teaching, especially for students from a widening participation background.
