Ruth completed her LLB (Hons Law) and LPC at Staffordshire University and undertook paralegal and fee earner roles in Greater Manchester from 2007, thereafter completing her training contract at Keoghs LLP and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2014.

Following relocation to the East Midlands, Ruth spent over 8 years with Browne Jacobson LLP before joining Nottingham Trent University as a Lecturer in Law in 2023.
