Role

Scott is a Senior Lecturer and co-Module Leader in Equity and Trusts (LLB); Business Law and Practice (LPC); Business Law (SQE); Professional Conduct and Ethics (LPC); Professional Conduct (SQE); and Contract Law (PgDL).

Career overview

Scott graduated with a First class honours degree in Law from the University of Birmingham before qualifying as a solicitor, specialising in residential and commercial conveyancing. Having left practice, Scott has been in academia for over 20 years, working at various universities and managing two law schools, as well as having experience as an External Examiner. His main subject areas are Contract and Trusts; his Equity and Trusts textbook is now in its third edition and he has contributed to a number of peer reviewed journals. Scott has taught law in England, the Channel Islands and the Caribbean and has worked with other universities in Europe to secure EU Horizon 2020 funding.
