Role

Padraig is a member of the Research & Strategic Partnerships Team and works closely with NTU researchers and industrial partners to develop their research innovations and tackle commercial challenges across the areas of STEM and Health.

Padraig focuses on the formation and development of internal and external collaborative opportunities to progress cutting-edge research along the innovation development pathway with relevant academic, industry, business and charity partners.

Career overview

Previously, Padraig was the Education Programme Manager at the Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, University of Cambridge. Prior to this, he spent a number of years as Translational Research Programme Manager at the University of Cambridge’s Office for Translational Research where he was responsible for the development and management of novel research programmes across the therapeutics space including drug, diagnostic and device innovations.

Padraig holds a BSc in Neuroscience from University College Cork as well as and MSc and PhD in Neuropharmacology from the National University of Ireland, Galway and has previous postdoctoral experience at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience.
