Role
Dr Alex Meredith is a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent, and is the sustainability lead in the Psychology Department; in that role, he works with management on the provision of sustainability in the curricula, and also helps staff on the inclusion of topics relating to sustainability within their respective modules. He is also the Chair of the Education for Sustainable Futures TILT group and works with staff across the university on the provision of sustainability.
Alex’s current teaching responsibilities include teaching core post-graduate research methods modules, in addition to mental health modules. At an undergraduate level he also is the module leader for a Year 1 module looking at the application of psychology in addressing contemporary issues in sustainability.
Finally, he also supervises PhD theses, and projects of both postgraduates and undergraduates.
Career overview
Dr Alex Meredith received his degree (BSc Psychology) from City, University of London (1996), with a MSc from the University of Nottingham in 1997. After a period of time working in the mental health profession, he became a lecturer in Psychology in 2008, and was awarded his PhD in Psychology in 2014, both at Nottingham Trent University.
