Dr Gabriella Mutale is a Research Fellow in the Social Work, Care and Community Department.
Career overview
Gabriella completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Research Methods at NTU. In 2016 Gabriella received her PhD in Psychology from NTU.
Gabriella has worked as a Research Fellow at NTU since 2015. In this role Gabriella has worked on research projects with the NHS and Council evaluating mental health and social care provision within Nottinghamshire.
Research areas
Gabriella works on research projects evaluating local services within Nottinghamshire. She is interested in projects that have an emphasis on improving mental health services, community support and social care provision for the people of Nottinghamshire. Recent evaluation projects include:
- Evaluating Mental Health Support Teams in schools within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, funded by NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board
- Evaluating a pilot of a Family Support and Safeguarding Model funded by Nottinghamshire County Council
- Consent Is Everything Contextual Evaluation - Evaluating the NTU Consent Is Everything Programme for students.
- Evaluating the Safer Streets initiative in Nottinghamshire with the Community Safety Partnership and the Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
- Evaluating the Domestic Abuse Survivors Counselling Service provided by Nottingham Women’s Centre.
