Event details

This lecture will explore Professor Pam Alldred’s academic journey to date, highlighting her equalities research, international projects, and her passion for social and environmental justice—often viewed as separate fields of research or activism- but which fuelled her path toward post-humanism. She will introduce the concept of post-humanism, explaining its potential contributions to the social sciences in terms of diversifying, decentring, and decolonising research, with examples drawn from Social Work and Youth & Community Work. No prior knowledge is required, and everyone is welcome to attend.
