About Mimi Tucker: Mimi Tucker, co-founder of Chap in the Box Studios, is an animation director with a fine art background and a degree in psychology. Raised in Brighton, UK, Mimi is still inspired by the vibrant theatrical culture of her hometown, bringing a sense of playfulness, performance, and visual energy to her work. She takes a thoughtful approach to creating children’s content, ensuring that her original properties—like the newly released digital-first show Rockabetty & The Rollers—are both entertaining and informed by child development principles. Passionate about creating a safer digital landscape for children, Mimi focuses on mobilising screen time to encourage off-screen activities and learning.
About Victoria Kroll: Victoria earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Hull, studying from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, she pursued a Master's in Research Methods, followed by a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, both at Nottingham Trent University. After completing her PhD, Victoria collaborated with Professor David Crundall at NTU, where they successfully completed several projects focused on enhancing road safety. Building on the success of these initiatives and securing an Innovate UK grant, Victoria and David co-founded Esitu Solutions, a Nottingham Trent University spin-out company, to commercialise their research for the fleet driver training market. Since its inception, they have partnered with a range of prominent clients, including Roads Policing, the Kier Group, Siemens, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, National Highways, and NHS Wales.
About Debbie Bryan: Debbie Bryan began her venture in 2007, after graduating from The School of Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University with a Masters in Fashion & Textiles and a Degree in Textile Design. Then progressing to The Hive (now known as NTU Enterprise) at NTU to attend the HeadStart programme to support ambitions to set up her own business. Debbie opened her studio and craft gallery in 2009, bringing a unique blend of artistry and hospitality to the market, becoming a leading gift shop, tearoom, creative space and online retailer, and selling the very best craft design and gifts, while also hosting celebration dining and crafternoon events.
