This event is only open to NTU students.
Come along and discover STIM CINEMA – a new touring exhibition and moving image installation exploring repetitive actions and autistic experiences, tracking back to the earliest forms of moving image, and the birth of cinema and cinematic language.
STIM CINEMA takes the actions of stimming as its starting point – ‘the practice of physical repetition as a way of taking sensory pleasure in recurrence, or of expressing and alleviating anxiety, and a common trait of autistic experience.’
STIM CINEMA is part of Nottingham Castle’s season of new programming focusing on neurodivergence. Visit the Nottingham Castle website to find out more.
This event takes place at Nottingham Castle, Lenton Road, Nottingham NG1 6EL.
Cost: £6 – this enables access to the exhibition and includes entry to Nottingham Castle, valid for the rest of the year.
This event is free for Nottingham Castle Annual Pass holders. You'll need to bring proof of this with you to gain entry to the Castle on the day. Failure to do this will result in you having to pay the full price entry fee (£12).
