Event details
During this Experience Day you’ll be using your sociological imagination to creatively explore a wide range of issues. You’ll spend time with the Sociology team at NTU questioning the often taken-for-granted nature of the world around you, and examining the link between familiar and everyday objects with the big societal issues of identity, culture and globalisation.
You’ll also discuss and debate contemporary social and criminal justice issues and learn in an interactive space that even apparently simple questions can lead us to many different answers.
You’ll also get the chance to meet current Sociology students, find out about what life is like as an NTU student and have the chance to tour our award winning libraries and students union. During the session you’ll find out more from our academics about what career pathways a Sociology or a Sociology and Criminology degree opens up. This experience can also be used to help your personal statement stand out!
If you are a teacher and would like to make a group booking please contact rici.krieger@ntu.ac.uk
The day is free of charge, and lunch will be provided.
You must be 16 or over to attend this event.
