DEC Connect Breakfast - February 2025

Join us at 8.30 am on Wednesday, 26th February 2025, for the DEC Connect Business Networking Breakfast at the Dryden Enterprise Centre. This month, we’ll be focusing on how to develop your public speaking and pitching skills with Dr Becky Cullen.
Designed for start-ups, established SME’s, freelancers and business leaders, during this session you’ll get chance to share skills, connect with peers, learn more about how you can work with NTU and enjoy a light breakfast.
Our networking sessions are open to entrepreneurs and founders no matter if you’ve been involved with NTU before.

This month, we’ll be focusing on how to develop your public speaking and pitching skills with Dr Becky Cullen.
Dr Becky Cullen is the host of Notts TV Book Club and the Director of the Writing, Reading and Pleasure (WRAP) programme in NTU Arts. As an award-winning poet and experienced educator, Becky has also delivered NTU’s short courses in Confident Presentation Skills, drawing on her extensive experience in education and public and private sector management.
Becky will share practical tips and insights to help you boost your confidence when presenting, refine your pitching technique, and communicate your message effectively. Whether you're speaking to a small group, pitching a new idea, or addressing a large audience, this session is designed to help you build your skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.
As always, the event will include an opportunity to network with other local business professionals over breakfast.
