We're delighted to welcome the brilliant United Strings of Europe to University Hall – a multi-cultural classical music ensemble known for its experimental and engaging programming. Appearing as a sextet, they'll be performing works by Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer Caroline Shaw, 16th Century Italian prince and composer Carlo Gesualdo, Austrian-American composer Arnold Schönberg, and 17th Century British composer Henry Purcell.

5.30 pm - 7.30 pmProf Karen Slade is a forensic psychologist with over 30 years’ experience across the criminal justice system, including prison, probation and police services whilst working at NTU for over a decade. In this talk, we will explore how her encounters within prisons and probation services influenced her dedication to developing transformative measures aimed at mitigating suicide and self-harm amongst individuals engaged with the Criminal Justice System. She will take you on a journey through her practical experience and research in suicide prevention and dual harm, showcasing how to create meaningful transformation.
