    In her inaugural lecture, Professor Natalie Braber highlights the role of language to our sense of identity and shows how linguistic variety helps to make us who we are. She reviews examples of her current collaborations to illustrate how linguistic varieties can be celebrated and how local communities can be engaged to turn language preservation projects into resounding monuments.
