Focussing on locally delivered public services in the UK over the last 40 years, he will adopt the auditor’s old adage ‘do they say what they do? and do they do what they say?’ Appointed as the first ‘Professor of Teaching and Practice’ at NTU he will draw on his experience in practice and show how this continues to influence his research at the University.

    Looking Again, Again

An Inaugural Lecture and Book Launch by Associate Professor Danica Maier, School of Art & Design

Networking | Public lectures | Seminars

    29 January 2019

    5.30 pm - 8 pm

Looking Again, Again is a new performative lecture which shows rather than tells. Focusing on Maier’s artistic practice and key interests, we will consider the un-repeating-repeat, the glitch, line(s) and subtle slippages found in moments of detail that transgress propriety. These interests produce work that takes the form of drawing, installation and 3D assemblages; most recently, Maier has begun exploring the potential of sound, including working with musicians.
