Big House workshops to support SMEs in the digital sector

Nottingham Trent University’s Big House team will be running a new Elevator Tech series, aimed to support digital businesses within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

The Big House team at Nottingham Trent University will be adapting their Elevator series to specifically support businesses involved in digital or technology sectors.

Workshops will be delivered and facilitated by a range of industry specialists and cover hot topics such as IP, international trading and raising capital in a high-risk sector. All events are free to attend and come with an offer of mentoring from one of our specialist digital business advisors.

Digital Intellectual Property

Investment Readiness miniseries

If you’re looking for funding, or you think you might in the future, this mini-series helps you understand the options, learn what to expect and hone your investor pitch. NTU and Derby Quad have joined forces to offer the programme. It will culminate in an investor showcase where selected businesses are invited to pitch to a range of investors.

Sessions include (time and location tbc):

  • Investment Readiness 101 – full day workshop
  • Pitch Critique – peer feedback on 7 minute pitches
  • Selection Panel – for all businesses that want to participate in the investor showcase
  • Investor Showcase - invite only

The Big House

Supported by the European Regional Development Fund, The Big House project, provides free support for Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire-based creative and digital businesses. This three-year programme ends in 2019.
