Funding for SMEs to recruit a marketing graduate and receive consultancy support from our expert academics

NTU's Productivity Through Innovation (PTI) project is offering a unique package of support for businesses looking to recruit a marketing graduate, coupled with an additional 20 hours of consultancy from a NTU marketing academic and expert.

Through the Productivity Through Innovation (PTI) project, NTU is offering funded support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to improve their productivity and market competitiveness.

In the current economic climate, we understand that businesses need to evolve in order to compete. Businesses need a workforce with a diverse skillset, fresh ideas and expert guidance, particularly when looking at how to market their products and services in a changing landscape.

We have therefore created a unique package of support for businesses who are looking to recruit a marketing graduate, coupled with an additional 20 hours of consultancy from a NTU marketing academic and expert from our award-winning Nottingham Business School.

The support package

  • A grant to help address a marketing skills gap in your business. The grant will fund 20% of a graduate’s salary for up to 12 months. The graduate can be from NTU, or another university
  • Support with the recruitment process
  • Fully funded consultancy from NTU marketing academic to support you with: brand strategy, reaching new customers and markets, marketing new products and services, customer insight analysis and evaluating marketing methods to optimise profitability.

Jacqueline Pearson

About the academic

Jacqueline Pearson is a business owner operating as a specialist in brand building and management.

As well teaching our marketing courses here at NTU, she is a skilled strategic marketer with commercial astuteness and experience of maximising the awareness, sales and profitability of recognised, brands.

She has worked with global brands on product development and management of the product lifecycle, exporting to new countries and developing and implementing strategic marketing plans.

Who is eligible?

  • Most SMEs operating in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
  • Minimum of 5, but less than 250 employees.
  • Annual turnover under EUR 50 million or annual balance sheet less than EUR 43 million.
