Universities for Nottingham Talent and Innovation Project

The NTU Employability team are excited to be delivering the Talent and Innovation project in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, under the Universities for Nottingham Civic Agreement. This project offers access to world class talent and technical expertise that will help to drive economic growth, increase the local talent pool and support the development of skills for the future.

The Talent and Innovation project provides financial and non-financial support to Nottingham City businesses to improve innovation, productivity and skills.

What's on offer:

Talent Grants

Eligible businesses can access a £2500 Talent Grant to part-fund the salary of a student or graduate. To qualify for one of the grants, businesses would need to demonstrate that the role would be used to implement or improve technology or processes, enable the business to enter new markets, improve or implement new products or services, or focus on research and development projects.

This grant would support an employee’s salary for a minimum of 8-weeks, full time.

Innovation Vouchers

This non-financial support provides businesses with a range of technically-focused consultancy support from esteemed Innovation Centres of Excellence highlighted below:

  • Food Innovation Centre - providing science and technology consultancy, new product or process development support for food and drink focussed businesses.
  • Chemistry Innovation Laboratory - providing analytical and product development support across chemistry and materials using life sciences businesses.
  • Institute of Aerospace Technology - working across the aerospace supply chain.
  • Design Matter - providing professional sustainable product and packaging design consultancy.
