Job Fairs and Events

Our job fairs represent an opportunity for employers to connect with our students and graduates, whilst presenting you with a platform to promote your vacancies, build brand awareness and interact both physically and virtually with your future talent. At NTU, we believe in success for all and value the time and expertise that employers bring to our students’ development, therefore, there is no charge associated with our recruitment events.

2021/22 Job Fairs

The Nottingham Trent University job fairs give you an excellent opportunity to access our students and raise the profile of your organisation at a key time in your annual recruitment calendar.

We are delighted to share the below timeline for our 2021/22 Term Two Job Fairs.

The safety of our partner businesses, students and staff remains paramount – as a result, we are continuing to assess the latest government guidance with regards to our plans for the 2021/22 job fairs series. Please continue to monitor this page for the latest updates moving forwards.

As we deal with this uncertain period together, we wish you good health and thank you for your continued support of our University during this time.

Graduate and Placement Job Fair

Tuesday 1 March 2022, 11:00am-3:00pm

The NTU Graduate and Placement Job Fair is an excellent opportunity to meet NTU talent and raise the profile of your organisation at a key time in your annual recruitment calendar.

This event will attract students from across the university.

Online activity

We understand that businesses are becoming more flexible with their working practices and digital engagement processes. With this in mind, there are fantastic engagement opportunities to connect with our talent virtually, allowing you to:

  • Reduce your recruitment costs of untargeted general advertising and remove direct expenses incurred from travelling to physical events.
  • Access a pipeline of qualified students and graduates who meet the needs of your organisation.

Virtual Mock Assessment Centre

Participating in a Virtual Mock Assessment Centre (MAC) gives you the opportunity to run a tailored group exercise, as part of a carousel of other activities. These sessions can either sit within our programme of MAC dates throughout the academic year, or as a standalone event on a date of your choosing.

Our Term Two MAC dates will be released in due course.

Webinar Wednesdays

The Webinar Wednesday series brings together industry experts to provide an insight into several areas relating to Employability.

Each Wednesday will focus on a different theme such as personal branding, a specific sector, Labour Market Information, and alumni success stories, with several events taking place across the day.

These sessions allow you to connect with like-minded individuals in the professional world, whilst inspiring recent and upcoming graduates with your expertise, at a key point in their career journeys.

Employer Sessions

Employer Sessions give you the opportunity to showcase your brand, vacancies and application processes in an interactive environment to relevant talent. Presentations can be live or pre-recorded and can include a Q&A, polls and more. You will be supported at every stage of the process, with the Events team on-hand to promote, set-up, test run and facilitate your session.

On-campus activity

There are a number of different ways to raise the profile of your organisation on campus, promote your recruitment opportunities and engage with our cohorts. This is an ideal opportunity to interact and share your company vision, culture and values directly to our talented students.

Employer presentations

Presentations are an ideal way to tell students about available placement and graduate opportunities, and give an insight into your organisation. You can choose to present on any of our campuses. The benefits of presenting to our students include:

  • meeting a our students face-to-face and answering their questions
  • increased brand awareness
  • promoting the opportunities available and the skills required
  • increasing application quality by helping students understand your recruitment processes

Pop-up stands

Promote your company with a pop-up stand in high footfall locations across our three campuses.

Pop-up stands are a great way to interact with students at any time of the year and, unlike careers fairs, you don’t have to compete with other companies for students’ attention.
