  • Autism Law Service

This Service arose from recognition that many of the clients using our advice and Tribunal services have autism or an autism spectrum condition.

Broadly, the aims of the service are to:

    • Develop an advice and representation service targeted at, and sensitive to, the needs of people with autism and autistic spectrum conditions
    • Deliver public legal education sessions to local employers (including in the not-for-profit sector) on disability rights issues
    • Train the next generation of lawyers for methods of dealing with a neuro-diverse client base and to aid understanding of the issues faced by such clients
    • Contribute to the policy conversations surrounding autism awareness and access to justice.
