An introduction to Agriculture and Horticulture at NTU
Where can you go with an Agriculture or Horticulture degree?
You’ll refine your knowledge and skills by completing a work placement and hearing from a range of guest speakers and industry experts. All this means you’ll be ready to jump into a role of your own when you graduate.
This could include careers across the sector, from agricultural management and environmentally sustainable production to setting up your own garden design business. Specific roles could include:
- Agronomist
- Crop Protection Specialist
- Farm Advisor
- Green Space Adviser
- Horticulture Therapist.
Agriculture and Horticulture facilities at NTU
Based at Brackenhurst Campus, you’ll have a working farm on your doorstep; home to livestock, a range of crops, and industry-standard agricultural facilities and machinery. There’s also a suite of horticultural glasshouses and polytunnels, our innovative vertical farming set-up and an AutoCAD garden design studio.
Home Farm
Brackenhurst Campus is home to a 200-hectare estate working farm where you'll find cattle, crops, advanced machinery and much more.
Glasshouse complex
The glasshouse complex and polytunnels at our Brackenhurst Campus are an excellent tool for our horticulture students.
