Introduction:

Twinmotion is a powerful real-time visualisation software, which allows for the importation of 3D assets/CAD designs to create dynamic 3D experiences, materials, weather patterns and walk through animations.

It’s part of a professional workflow within Architecture, Consumer Products, and many creative industries.

What you’ll study

On this course you will learn the basics of Twinmotion and be introduced to modern visualisation techniques and gain an understanding of how you can incorporate real-time environments into workflows used across creative industries such as VFX, architecture, product design and fashion.

You will learn and explore various methods for creating 3D experiences, from adding textures and materials to creating effortless foliage and weather effects for 2D Rendering and motion-based animations.

By the end of the course, you will have the skills to be able to create 3D experiences in Twinmotion and have a completed project to add to your portfolio.

The course is divided into four sections.

  • Introduction to Twinmotion
  • Interface – menus, scenes, tabs
  • Using transformation tools and traversing the workspace
  • Why knowing your asset size is important.
  • Importing and manipulating objects
  • Adding assets from the library
  • Materials and textures – creating and applying digital textures
  • Applying weather and foliage
  • Rendering – setting up the camera, lighting and environment
  • 2D image renders
  • Motion based animations – walk throughs and camera movements

You will continue to create and finalise your own assets and scenes with guidance.
