Introduction:
Horror and crime are both genres which immerse readers into the world that has been created; sometimes from the ‘real world’ and other times from imagined worlds.
This two-hour online workshop will help you establish the fundamentals of creating effective worlds and settings in your creative writing.
It’s aimed at anyone interested in creative writing for the horror and crime genres, whether you have done any previous writing before or are a complete beginner.
What will I gain?
By the end of the session you will have built confidence in your creative writing skills to build an effective setting and have some new ideas to further pursue your horror or crime writing.
Tutor Profile: Charlotte Baker is an author and an associate lecturer and PhD student at the University of Derby.
She has an interest in horror, identification, true crime and fandom.
