The climate crisis is at the forefront of our minds.

Climate Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.

The course covers the science of climate change, social equity, and practical strategies for promoting sustainability in personal and professional contexts.

What you’ll study

During this course you will cover:

  • Positive Futures Scenarios and Climate Justice
  • Climate Science and the matching high impact climate solutions
  • Carbon calculation and individual action
  • Climate Change Mitigation: a systems approach
  • Your own Action Plan

This climate literacy training will help to spread this knowledge and equip everyone with the information to train others about carbon literacy.

This professional development opportunity offers everyone the skills needed to make high-impact changes in private and work settings to reduce carbon emissions.

Our Climate Literacy Training has been developed in collaboration with the UN PRME Champions, the international student organisation ‘oikos International’ and the Carbon Literacy Project.

Climate Literacy training equips you with knowledge about climate change, carbon footprints, and the steps you can take to mitigate your impact.

By the end of the course you will have a better understanding of the science of climate change, policy implications, and the social aspects of environmental action.

Certificate of attendance and digital badge

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a digital certificate of attendance and a digital badge powered by Accredible.

Your digital credential is more than just a certificate – it’s secure, verifiable, and protected against fraud through encryption and blockchain technology.
