International pathway arrangements

NTU has pathway arrangements in place with over 50 partner institutions around the world, offering students the opportunity to transfer seamlessly from their current course to graduate with an NTU qualification. Students benefit from an expedited application experience, personal communication with NTU staff whilst still in their home country and discounted tuition fees as part of these arrangements.

International progression arrangements

A progression agreement allows students to progress directly from a partner Institution onto a specified NTU course, subject to specified entry and English language requirements being met.

Nottingham Business School’s BA (Hons) International Business Management and the School of Art & Design’s BA (Hons) International Fashion Business one-year ‘top-up’ courses are amongst our most popular progression pathways. These courses provide students with additional skills and knowledge in their chosen subject area and a UK Bachelors degree, providing an international perspective on their studies and in some cases providing students with an opportunity to study a foreign language putting them ahead of majority of their graduate peers. If students wish to, they can stay on at NTU for a related one-year Masters course at a discounted rate or remain in the UK to find work opportunities through the UK's Graduate Route visa.

International articulation arrangements

An articulation agreement creates a formal relationship between two programmes, allowing students automatic entry (with advanced standing) onto a specified NTU course, subject to the student satisfying the academic criteria for the course(s) undertaken at a partner institution. Course teams at NTU and the partner institution will work together to map the relevant curriculum to ensure that the students are fully equipped to excel at their studies at NTU. The collaborative nature of these relationships can strengthen research partnerships, international academic networks and other types of collaboration.

We would be delighted to talk to you about developing pathway arrangements across a range of subject disciplines so please get in touch and we look forward to welcoming your students to NTU.

Articulation partner case study

Brickfields

Brickfields Asia College Partnership

In 2015, Brickfields Asia College (BAC) and NTU’s Nottingham Law School entered into an articulation partnership for our flagship LLB program.

This successful degree transfer programme has been designed to provide BAC students with an excellent foundation in Law, developing the students key intellectual, practical, and legal skills. This course has been structured to provide flexibility and choice and the degree offers a one year and two-year route. A significant number of BAC students have undertaken study at NTU under this programme.

We put the student experience into the heart of everything we do. To ensure that students settle into the transfer programme, NLS hosts a range of events during induction week to give students the opportunity to meet fellow members of the transfer programme. We also offer a range of short courses to help students transition into UK higher education.

Considering the success of the partnership in Law, the collaboration has been expanded to include a pathway for BAC’s business students into Nottingham Business School.
