MIT World Peace University, India

Nottingham Business School hosts MIT-WPU cohort for immersive learning and cultural experiences fostering global collaboration.

Nottingham Business School (NBS) recently hosted 33 undergraduate students from MIT World Peace University (India) for an intensive five-week academic and cultural programme. Designed to bridge academic skills with responsible business practice in an international context, the bespoke curriculum featured five modules:

  • Business, Information, Communication and Learning
  • Business Ethics
  • Developing a Literature Review
  • Data Analysis and Survey (Parts 1 and 2)

The programme combined interactive lectures, ethical reflections, and practical data analysis projects, reflecting NBS’s commitment to experiential and responsible management education. Students were encouraged to develop independent inquiry, reflective learning, and teamwork skills, while benefiting from close engagement and with NBS faculty.

Beyond the classroom, the cohort explored the UK’s cultural and historical landscape, visiting Nottingham as well as Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Kent. These experiences enriched their understanding of British culture and strengthened the friendships and professional networks formed during the programme.

The five-week journey concluded with a celebratory event, where students received certificates of participation in recognition of their engagement and enthusiasm. The success of this initiative was made possible through the collaboration of NBS faculty and staff, whose teaching and mentorship supported the students throughout.

This first MIT-WPU cohort exemplifies NTU Global’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and creating transformative learning experiences that combine academic excellence with cultural exchange.
