David Russhard is a lecturer / senior lecturer in civil engineering in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment.

Career overview

David graduated from Nottingham Trent University and went to Black and Veatch, spending a short time in design, but mostly as part of the site management team in waste water.

He has since spent 8 years working for a company manufacturing constructions adhesives; entailing design of structural and non-structural fixings, as well as serving on standardisation committees.

Research areas

David has been involved in research for International Building Codes (IBCs) for reinforced concrete, focused on areas connected with post-installed anchors, such as the effects of fracture energy on anchors loaded in shear, and effects on concrete strength by aggregate origin.
