Role

Liz manages and supports various Student Experience initiatives across the school of ADBE. This includes the creation and management of a Student-led Voice Panel who co-create social and community-building events and programmes for their peers within the school. The events are tracked and evaluated as part of the ADBE commitments to Success for All and building an inclusive community as detailed in the school’s Academic Plan.

Liz is also the project lead for student mentoring, academic course representatives and Welcome and Transition activities across the school.

Career overview

Liz has been working in Higher Education for over 10 years.

Starting in a busy MBA office as a senior administrator, she moved to working in Outreach on the Widening Participation agenda in 2014. She has worked with hundreds of local school children in the Nottinghamshire area aged 7 to 18 delivering information, advice and guidance in local schools. She also led on campus initiatives designed to inspire and enthuse children about their educational journey.

Liz joined the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment to bring her pre-access expertise into the current student landscape in March 2022. She now leads a number of projects for current NTU students designed to help build confidence and skills to enjoy their university experience.
