Role

Anna is the module leader for the Corporate Restructuring module for the MSc in Finance. This covers a range of subjects such as Mergers and Acquisitions, other corporate restructuring strategies and valuation techniques.

She also contributes to the Investment and Portfolio Management module on the MSc in Finance.

Career overview

Anna is undertaking her PhD research in Corporate Governance Structure and Analysts’ Earnings Forecasts at the University of Sussex. This explores the effect of CEO compensation, power and incentives on analysts’ earnings forecasts.

During her PhD, Anna worked as a Teaching Assistant for Sussex University delivering modules on International Corporate Finance, Theories of Investments, Money and Banking and Principles of Finance both for undergraduate and postgraduate students. She also has previous experience from her employment in the Risk Management department of Klarity Risk Ltd firm in Athens.

Research areas

Anna’s main research interests range from the impact of CEO compensation, power and incentives to the effect of both country and firm-level corruption on analysts’ earnings forecasts and earnings management.

She has also been involved in research for the banking sector regarding the bank capital buffer, risk and performance nexus for EU-27 countries.

Anna is a certificated member of Hellenic Capital Market after completing an accredited programme covering topics for:

  • (A1) Executing trades on Equities and Bonds
