Role

Sarah is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, currently on secondment to the Business School wide Personalisation Project.  In her substantive post Sarah has been Year One tutor and led induction for the Accounting and Finance students as well as designed a personal tutor structure and materials for the Year One students. In addition, Sarah has led modules within the Accounting and Finance undergraduate course and also taught on the CIPFA professional accountancy course.

In her current seconded role due to run until September 2017, Sarah leads the first year Personalisation module (Personal and Professional Development) across Nottingham Business School. PPD is the structured module through which students are allocated an Academic Mentor. As part of the module students also prepare an ePortfolio, detailing their work and university experiences and reflecting on them to form an action plan for the future.

Career overview

Before joining NTU, Sarah worked for three years in Local Authority Finance Departments as a Senior Accountant. Prior to this Sarah trained as a CIPFA qualified accountant with KPMG working at a number of audit clients across the public sector including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, NHS Trusts and Further and Higher Education Institutions.
