Animation

Role

David's teaching encompasses scripting for animators, procedural animation and the application of motion capture. In addition to teaching, David has other roles that support students on the animation as well as other courses.

David also supervises postgraduate students in areas of research interest.

Research areas

David's areas of research interest are X-ray systems and image processing, interaction design, interactive environments, computational creativity, procedural animation and motion capture. A sustained and active area of research is the development of X-ray systems and image processing for security and other applications.

David is a member of the Imaging Science Group led by Prof. Paul Evans.
