Role
I am course lead for International Fashion Business, the role entails managing day to day operations of the course, arranging teaching and learning, for our UK cohort as well as our international students in Hong Kong. The role also involves aspects such as recruitment and developing the course structure and pedagogy.
Career overview
Prior to being Course leader for IFB, I thought on the MA here at NTU, supporting students with their dissertations. Before joining NTU, I was Learning Manager for Creative Industries at a large FE institution in Portsmouth, this role saw me manage a large team of staff and students across a range of 20 different creative courses including A-Levels, BTECs, Pre- degree.
Before taking on the management role in FE I set up and managed a level 3 diploma in Fashion and was PGCE mentor supporting new teachers. I have taught art, fashion and textiles for a number of years.
External activity
Alongside my teaching practice I co-founded Priestleys in 2021, an independent luxury leather goods brand. Handcrafting accessories from responsibly sourced leathers.
