Career overview

Over 20 years of experience in teaching music technology, composition and audio production.

Gained a BA (Hons) Contemporary Arts, MA Fine Art, PGCHE Teaching in Higher Education and achieved Fellowship status of the HEA.

Research areas

Owen’s practice is in Sonic Art performance, using sound design, MIDI triggering and multiple microphone techniques to create new instruments.

He has exhibited works at arts venues and festivals, including ’Metronome’, selected by the dance/theatre company Jukstapoz for a performance art production called ‘Self Storage’ in Athens.

Composes soundtracks, collaborating with other artists and musicians in performances and installations.

Owen is currently a member of an A&D Research group, exploring uses of ASMR in media.
