Role
Dr Vidal is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish. He is the Subject Leader for Spanish and the Dissertation coordinator for Spanish. He is also module leader for Culture and Society in 20th century Spain and Spanish Language (Final Year).

Career overview
Dr Vidal completed his PhD at the University of Nottingham (2014) where he worked as a Teaching Associate in the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies (2009-2015). He also worked as a Lecturer at the University of Mechnikov in Odessa, Ukraine, as part of the program of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (2006-2009), and as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Petro Moguila in Mykolayiv, Ukraine (2006-2009).
Research areas
His research activity is focused on the fields of Contemporary Hispanic Narrative, Testimonial Narrative and Literary Journalism, with special attention to hybrid narratives and the relationships of interdiscoursivity, cross-genre and cross-disciplinarity in the analysis of discourses and genres.
