Role
Kathie Moore was appointed as the Dean of School of Social Sciences in 2012, having previously been the Head of the School for Applied Social Sciences at De Montfort University.
Kathie studied Sociology and Social Policy at Middlesex University and Warwick University having previously qualified as a registered nurse. During her 13 years working for the NHS, Kathie held a number of clinical roles before taking on the role of project lead on two large-scale projects for the Department of Health and the Royal London Hospital Trust.
During her time at De Montfort University Kathie was the academic strategic lead for inter-professional education and practice and strategic partnership in particular with Leicester Constabulary and the East Midlands Healthcare Workforce Deanery.
At Nottingham Trent University Kathie continues to develop international, national and local partnerships with the police, prisons, schools, healthcare and social care providers and these reflect the diversity and curricula within the school.
