Role
Cagri is a lecture in marketing. He teaches on various modules both undergraduate and postgraduate level at Nottingham Business School. He is a module leader for Marketing Management (level 2) and Strategic Perspectives and Global Environment at a Master’s level. He also teaches broad range of undergraduate modules; The Marketing Environment, Research for Marketing and postgraduate modules; Driving Marketing Innovation and Marketing Management. Furthermore, He supervises MBA dissertation projects and Consultancy Experience (MSc level) projects.
Career overview
Cagri has been teaching marketing modules at Nottingham Business School since January 2014. Prior to this, Cagri taught marketing courses at a college in London. He also has six years of retail experience at different levels of management roles.
Research areas
He gained his PhD in 2013 entitled 'An Investigation of Imbalanced Position of Exporters in Relationships with Importers: Case of Small Exporting Textile Suppliers in Turkey' at the University of Hull Business School. Furthermore, his research also covers capability development, marketing strategy and supply chain management.
He is pursuing research in the field of asymmetric supplier retailer relations, relationship marketing and qualitative research techniques. Case study research technique is his specialism. He has also attended and presented competitive research papers at numerous national and international conferences including the Annual Academy of Marketing Conference, British Academy of Management, IMP International Marketing and Purchasing Group, and Global Fashion Management Conference. Moreover, he has been working on several research papers to publish ABS ranking journals.
