Role
Chris Harwood is a Senior Lecturer and Module Leader in Personalisation at Nottingham Business School. He leads the Applied Professional Development module, a Level 5 course completed by all undergraduate students at NBS. A central component of this module is the Future of Work Conference, an event featuring over 70 speakers who deliver 80 sessions to approximately 1,500 students. The conference is designed to support students’ future decision-making and enhance their employability.
Chris has a particular interest in sustainability education and serves as Chair of the Sustainability Subject Group within the Department of Management. In this role, he contributes to the department’s strategic direction on sustainability.
He holds an MA in Educational Leadership and Management from Nottingham Trent University and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Chris also mentors colleagues seeking HEA qualifications and is involved in the assessment of their submissions.
Career overview
Prior to his current role, Chris Harwood worked within Nottingham Trent University’s Employability team as a Careers Consultant for Nottingham Business School and as International Student Project Coordinator. In these positions, he supported the employability needs of students across the university.
