Role

Karen is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Business Management and Entrepreneurship course.

As a Course Leader, Karen is responsible for course management, leading and co-ordinating course developments, monitoring quality of course delivery and supporting students. She is actively engaged with the Hive (NTU’s centre for entrepreneurship and enterprise) and continually explores opportunities for further course collaboration.

At School Level Karen is a member of the School Academic Standards and Quality Committee representing undergraduate course leaders. She is a member of the Undergraduate Advisory Board, the Success for All Working Group and also contributes to the activities of the Trent Institute for Learning and Teaching.

Karen teaches creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship at undergraduate level. She is Module Leader for several modules and supervises final year undergraduate research projects in addition to being a placement visit tutor and academic mentor to undergraduate students. Karen is an experienced teacher with a particular interest in developing experiential learning opportunities and supporting student enterprise activities on undergraduate courses. Karen is also the owner of a small business.
