Role

Dr. Opeyemi Faith Titus (PhD, MSc, MBA, FHEA, CMBE, Assoc CIPD) serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Resource Management at Nottingham Business School. He leads the International Human Resource Management module and also teaches Foundations of Managing and Organising (FMO) as well as People, Organisations and Society (POS). Additionally, he supervises student dissertations.

Career overview

Before joining Nottingham Trent University, Dr. Opeyemi Faith Titus held academic positions at the University of Leicester, the University of Hull, and the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David. He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students and served as a module leader for various HRM and management modules. As a lecturer and HR professional in higher education, he is passionate about transferring knowledge through coaching and mentoring business students. With over a decade of experience in HR and administration across private, public, and non-governmental organizations in both Africa and the UK, he is dedicated to promoting HR best practices, supported by his extensive academic credentials.

Dr. Titus holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of Hull, an honorary doctorate in Christian Leadership (Honoris Causa) from Revival Bible University, and an MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Hull, where he achieved distinction in both his dissertation and overall grades. Additionally, he earned a PgDip in Research Training from the same institution. He also holds an MBA in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria and a BSc in Economics from Kogi State University.

Research areas

Opeyemi’s PhD research focuses on the development of responsible leadership within the banking industry of a developing economy. His research interest includes HRM, Relational Leadership, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Opeyemi is a member of various professional bodies whoch includes:

  • Peer reviewer for Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance.
  • Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)
  • Member of British Academy of Management
  • Associate Member of Chartered Institute of personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM)

He also serves as an external examiner for the BSc Human Resource Management program.
