Senior Lecturer in Personalisation and Experiential Learning and Platform Leader for Employment and Enterprise

Phil is Platform Leader for Employment and Enterprise, a school-wide level 5 module, part of the Personalisation and Experiential Learning (PEL) suite within Nottingham Business School. Within the module, Phil manages a catalogue of experiential learning route options and is also Route Coordinator for Enterprise in Action  and the Business Consultancy Project. EiA facilitates aspiring entrepreneurs to develop essential skills and engages in both developmental and practical entrepreneurial workshops while the BCP introduces students to world of consultancy. Phil works closely with teams across NTU and our external contacts in the local and broader business community.

Research areas

Phil is currently engaged in a philosophical doctorate (PhD) exploring the impact of marketisation and massification on higher education. Phil’s research targets the impact of socio-cultural diversity within the learning environment and how this impacts the student body, specifically non-traditional students.

Areas of interest include Widening Participation, Non-traditional students, Marketisation and Massification of HEI, consumer studies and HE pedagogy.
