Role

Rosalind is a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Strategy, Analytics and Operations. She has a focus on postgraduate learning and teaching provision, and is Course Leader for the MSc Higher Education Management and Leadership. Rosalind is also Module Leader for the Applied Research Project module, the Consultancy Experience Project module and Contemporary Issues in Higher Education.

Her role involves leading teaching and supervisory teams across platform level modules, designing and delivering teaching and assessment materials, as well as line management responsibilities.

She is also a member of the NBS PG & Executive Education Industry Advisory Board.

Career overview

Rosalind's career history has shaped her approach to learning and teaching and her research interests. She joined Nottingham Business School in 2023.

She has 10 years industry experience working for commercial organisations like GlaxoSmithKline (Wellcome Pharmaceuticals), Mars and PepsiCo. Rosalind held various roles including research and development roles in technical projects, product and process development, pilot plant manager, supplier quality and vendor assurance and operational line management roles in manufacturing and logistics/warehousing/distribution.

Her industry experience shaped her research interests in Strategic Resourcing and Organisational Flexibility, which led to her PhD (The University of Nottingham). She joined academia in 2004 and has experience of Course and Module leadership and curriculum development. Rosalind has led, developed, delivered and assessed Undergraduate modules from Level 1,2,3,4 in Leadership and Management, HRM, Quality and Operations, Research Methods, Strategy, Dissertations. At postgraduate level, she led Master degree programmes and has extensive experience leading and managing modules across the Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship (Executive MBA), MBA and MSc’s in Business and Management degree programmes, which involved modules on Leadership, People and Processes, Strategy and Applied Research Methods and Projects.

Previous to NTU, she held academic positions at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen University, University of Central Lancashire.
