Role

Sarah is a Senior Lecturer in the Accounting and Finance Department.  She is Level 5 Tutor on the BA Accounting and Finance undergraduate degree with responsibility for coordination of pastoral care for students.  In addition, Sarah is module leader for the accounting stream of the Employment and Enterprise Level 5 module, and the Finance in the Public Sector Level 5 option module.  Sarah is a research project supervisor for Level 6 students and teaches on the Level 5 module Management Accounting and Information and Level 6 module Leadership and Employability.

Sarah is a novice researcher interested in the areas of the student voice and pastoral support.  She is working in collaboration with other Senior Lecturers in the Accounting and Finance Department to analyse how we can capture the student voice more on the Accounting and Finance course and use it to enhance attendance and engagement.

Career overview

Prior to working at NTU, Sarah trained at KPMG as an auditor in the Public Sector and is a CIPFA qualified accountant.  Sarah also worked in Project Accountant and Management Accountant roles in the Public Sector in Local Authorities for 3 years post qualification before moving into the higher education sector.
