Research areas

Spencer is undertaking research towards a PhD that is designed to offer a focussed understanding of how influential the emotional intelligence (EI) of serial entrepreneurs is in driving performance within their teams and organisations.  It also seeks to establish an understanding of the level of metacognition in serial entrepreneurs of their EI and whether or not they apply these skills consciously. In doing so, this may enable the observation of patterns of behaviour that support the achievement of high performance and success in these serial entrepreneur-led businesses.  In doing so, this could establish an understanding of the key EI skills utilised by successful serial entrepreneurs in a way that could be harnessed through teaching on UG, PG and Executive Education programmes in addition to coaching and consulting activities.
