Role
Sunny is a CIPFA Chartered Accountant and a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance. She has previously been the Nottingham Business School Employability Manager and an Academic Mentor.
Sunny leads a 1st year undergraduate module at level 4 (c.300 students) for BSc Accounting & Finance students, introducing them to technology and its relevance to accounting and future careers and sustainability for accounting and finance.
She also co-leads the 2nd year Applied Professional Development module for the BA Business Management & Accounting & Finance course at level 5 (c.375 students), which develops students' work experience using accounting software packages and engagement with external stakeholders to help apply theory to practice.
Sunny’s teaching areas include Management Accounting, Corporate Governance, CSR, Employability, and Experiential Learning, including client projects.
Sunny is also a course tutor for final year students.

Career overview
Prior to joining NTU, Sunny has 20 years of experience providing financial advisory and commercial advice and support to public and private sector organisations as a Management Consultant. She has worked with organisations in the public sector to develop commercial Business Cases and deliver these through large-scale Procurement Contracts working with multiple stakeholders working in Local Government and for CIPFA.
Sunny has over 13 years of experience working for Deloitte UK and delivering, PPP and PFI contracts in the public sector including, schools, waste infrastructure, nuclear, and hospitals. Her last role was as Local and Regional Government Relationship Manager for Deloitte UK, working across the organisation to develop and deliver public sector strategy. She has experience of collaborating with internal teams to enhance external client service delivery. This includes developing and consolidating internal resources and teams to successfully deliver complex, wide-ranging programmes of work.
