Role

Tolulope (PhD, MBA, FHEA, MCIPD (Academic), MBAM, PGCAP) is a lecturer in the department of Human Resource, Course Leader of the Business Management and Human Resource joint honours programme and Module Leader on Developing Professional Impact module for human resource.

As a Course Leader, Tolulope takes a lead role in enhancing teaching and learning practice by facilitating students’ involvement with professional bodies like CIPD through conferences and training events. Tolulope ensures that course design and delivery by Module Leaders have embedded links with industry in the form of guest speakers, industry visits, and an active industry advisory board member to contribute to annual course enhancement activity. Tolulope engages with internal and external contributors for Course Health Development, measures and monitors the enhancement of teaching and learning by analysing data and providing reports to Director of Taught Undergraduate Programmes. Tolulope is the Module Leader for the Developing Professional Impact module for final year human resource undergraduates, which entails developing module specification and handbook and module team organisation and management. He teaches Comparative International Management, and Managing Culture Across Boarders. Tolulope also supervises postgraduate experiential consultancy projects.

Prior to Tolulope’s employment with Nottingham Trent University, as a lecturer at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Tolulope contributed to the development of course materials for undergraduate students, and assisted with the moderation of final year undergraduate projects. He was part of the team coordinating the executive MBA programmes. Tolulope’s role as part of the MBA coordinating team was to develop and facilitate modules in Organisational Behaviour for the Executive MBA programmes at NOUN.

Tolulope worked in various strategic capacities in operations within the financial and manufacturing industries in Nigeria. Tolulope was co-founder and company director of Anto-Ella (logistics) Enterprise in Nigeria. He was a consultant to Aella Financial Solutions Limited (Aella Credit) Nigeria, on business investment matters. These experiences place Tolulope in a unique position of not just possessing theoretical knowledge in the management of human resource within business organisations, but also enables him to be well-grounded in business practices through his wide range of experience.

Career overview

Prior to joining NTU, Tolulope worked as a Lecturer in the Social and Management Sciences department at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). In this role he contributed to the development of course materials for Undergraduate students, moderated final year projects, and co-coordinated the Executive MBA and MPA programmes. Also, Tolulope worked and managed various departments with Zenith and Oceanic banks in Nigeria. He was co-founder and company director of Antho-Ella logistics company in Nigeria. Prior to this, Tolulope’s was a Territorial Sales and Marketing manager at Nigeria Distilleries Limited (NDL) in Nigeria.

  • He was a member of the conference organizing committee for the EAOHP Athens 2016 conference.
