Role

As a learning designer within the Flex Team, Bjorn is responsible for the co-creation and development of postgraduate and undergraduate blended and online modules across all schools. Working with subject matter experts they transform and enhance existing delivery into well-designed online learning.

Bjorn is also responsible for developing VLE compatible learning components and finding solutions (sometimes technical) that improve usability and the learner experience.

Career overview

Prior to joining NTU in 2021, Bjorn had a career in commercial training and started teaching in 2002 while working for a Nottingham based FE provider. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) delivering courses for 15+ years.

Bjorn has also consulted for, and trained clients in a variety of web related technologies and delivered talks on web accessibility and search marketing for the eChampions programme that was hosted by DMU.

Being passionate about teaching, technology and creative design, Bjorn’s role as a learning designer allows him to explore aspects of each. He has a passion for experimenting with augmented and virtual reality – creating simulations and experiences that can enhance the potential for experiential learning.
