Role

As a Senior Learning Designer at NTU Ellie designs and develops innovative and effective online and blended learning experiences for students.  Working closely with faculty members and subject matter experts Ellie creates engaging and interactive courses that align with the learning objectives and the wider NTU approach to learning and teaching at NTU. Ellie's responsibilities include running design workshops, developing instructional materials, implementing learning technologies, and evaluating the effectiveness of the learning design

Career overview

As an educational leader with several years of experience, Ellie has worked as a Course Leader and Learning Designer, which has given her an in-depth understanding of pedagogy. Currently, Ellie's work as a Learning Designer involves spearheading innovation in online and blended learning, a field she is passionate about. In this capacity, Ellie builds positive relationships with stakeholders to increase the adoption of flexible learning.

Research areas

Throughout her career Ellie has explored the design and implementation of effective pedagogical strategies with emphasis on active collaborative learning, recently looking at this in the context of online and blended learning environments. Other research areas also include the exploration of  intersection of design and education.
