Role

Loyin is the Head of School Operations at Nottingham Business School and has responsibility for leading the effective and efficient delivery of all operational and administrative services within the Business School. As an active and engaged member of the School’s Executive Team, she works closely with the Executive Dean, colleagues within the School and business partners in setting, communicating and delivering the School strategic plan. Her work focuses on making the delivery of the School’s objectives as smooth as possible and ensuring administrative services aid the delivery of the academic mission of the School.

Career overview

Prior to joining Nottingham Trent University, she held roles including Business Readiness Manager and Placement Delivery Manager at The University of Nottingham, which centred on operational management, leading and delivering strategic initiatives via projects and programmes and implementing change in a Higher Education Institution. Before her management and leadership career, Loyin was engaged in academic and scientific research in the area of pharmaceuticals.

At NTU, prior to joining the Nottingham Business School, Loyin worked as Planning and Projects Manager in the Centre for Academic Development and Quality at NTU where she led and ensured effective operational planning, delivery and reporting for all services and projects relating to academic development and quality.

Research areas

In addition to previous scientific research, Loyin has recently engaged and successfully managed an OfS-funded programme across 3 UK HEIs focused on using active learning pedagogies as a strategy to address disparities in attainment.

External activity

Loyin is a member of the Association of University Administrators (MAUA), Chartered Management Institute (MCMI), Institute of Leadership and Management (MInstLM)  and Women in Higher Education Network.

She participates and engages through conference attendance, working groups and project collaborations.
